I find myself having to check too many email folders

Going from using just an Inbox to having several folders where new mail is being sorted to may be a bit overwhelming. We’ve made it easy for you though, with options and tools we’ve outlined here for you.

It’s best to set AI to match your needs

Your choice for the level of SaneBox AI processing that fits you best really helps. Then, the only folder you need to continue to check regularly is your familiar Inbox.

Plan times to review Lower Priority folders

The folders that your non Inbox worthy mail is being sorted into with SaneBox processing, (@SaneLater, @SaneNews, etc), can usually wait for a preferred time each day when you choose to tap into those folders from your email app and scan through them, right from where you normally view and read your mail.

Use your SaneBox Digest

You can also review Sane folder contents by using the email summary (called Digest) that arrives in your Inbox once a day or more when new items processed to Sane folders remain unread. Your SaneBox Digest dispatch scheduling can be adjusted from the Email Notifications section of your SaneBox Dashboard too.

Choosing less folders can make things easier

Often, most users really only need @SaneLater, so you might consider disabling @SaneNews (or other Sane folders) until you are more comfortable with the SaneBox system. Deactivating other Sane folders will force all unimportant email to @SaneLater.

And some Sane folders are not sorting destinations

The folders above are examples of folder locations with content that can be read. The other folders below that SaneBox offers are tools - new mail will not arrive in these!

@SaneTomorrow will defer email for return to your Inbox tomorrow morning.

@SaneNextWeek will defer email for return to your Inbox next Monday morning.

@SaneBlackHole will train problem emails to go to your trash and leave you alone.

And if your host’s Spam filter makes tons of mistakes

@SaneNotSpam will monitor your Spam folder and catch any apparent Inbox-worthy mail.

If you would like to simplify your SaneBox experience, many of these optional features can be deactivated from your dashboard on our site. And turning new features on one at a time can be a good way to ease into exploration of new work-flow possibilities.
