AirMail - OSX: Finding SaneLater or other new folders

SaneBox and the AirMail client

SaneBox works with nearly any email client, device or provider (with the exception of POP-only providers, and there are very few of those left). The whole point of SaneBox is to get unimportant emails out of your way so that you can deal with your important ones now. We take all of those unimportant emails and put them into SaneLater so that you can either archive or delete them when you have free time.

All your emails stay on your server.

At no time do your emails leave your host’s email server. In other words, SaneBox never downloads your email nor does it upload your emails to your SaneBox Dashboard (account). All emails processed by SaneBox will always remain in your own personal (or work) email account.

Or follow these steps

  1. Look for your AirMail Menu on your Menu Bar and select Preferences.
  2. Click settings gear for the email account on your SaneBox and go to the Mapping tab.
  3. Use the “ Rescan” button along the bottom and then close the Preferences window.

You should then see the @SaneLater or other new SaneBox destination folder become visible.

Additional Troubleshoot

Check your AirMail “Favorites” to control folder side-bar view

After all that, If you still don’t see @SaneLater or your other SaneBox folders, you’re probably using POP server settings to access your email account in AirMail. You need to switch to an IMAP incoming server configuration in order to use SaneBox. Luckily, here are instructions on how to do that. You can use the examples for other common macOS email software choices to compare with the settings layout specific to AirMail: https://pop2imap.com
