How do I recover my SaneBox site password?

You can easily do this at our Recover Account page. Simply enter your email address and click Continue. We will send you a magic link that you can use to recover your password.

NOTE: For Google Apps or Gmail or outlook.com (HotMail) or Yahoo or AOL hosted addresses: Please see details below about how they use their OAuth2.x login to our services for you. (So in nearly all cases there is not a separate password for your SaneBox. Those hosts do the login into our site for you.)

Here’s what our Recover Account page looks like

Here below is an example of the reset email

For those who are using a Password Manager App, be sure to update it after changing your SaneBox account password that it previously had saved.

  • Notice: Google Apps, Gmail, HotMail, Yahoo, AOL hosted addresses: normally these hosts all use a credential system called OAuth2.x to log into our services for you. They are in charge of the login and your password is between you and that host. Those email accounts do not have a separate password with us. So if your email address is hosted by one of these services that uses OAuth2.x login and you request a password reset/recover from SaneBox, you will not receive a reset email since there is no password with us to reset.

Alert: There are rare exceptions where a Google Apps account may be set up (by your email admin) to not be using OAuth2.x and use regular site passwords instead.

For the vast majority of Google hosted email accounts though, just be sure to be logged into mail.google.com before you open our site in another tab of the same web browser.

  • Tip: If you’re having trouble seeing any of the steps in our processes: consider downloading and installing Google Chrome as an extra web browser choice. It’s a fast and stable browser and it’s good to have more than one. When the installer asks if you want to import your info from Microsoft Edge or Apple Safari browsers - why not let it. Then try our Recover Account page again - in Chrome.
